Maryland prepping for AOT bill to pass: "It is time to update the rules. We can bring treatment before tragedy to the severely mentally ill in our communities, if we so choose. A bill to create an AOT program will be introduced in the Maryland legislature. It is up to all of us to make sure it passes."

If Maryland adopts AOT on its books, there will be four states left without AOT.  Tennessee will be one of those four.  It's Time to Change Tennessee's Mental Health Laws!

Read the letter from Dr. John J. Boronow, senior psychiatrist, and Dr. Steven S. Sharfstein, president and CEO (both of the Sheppard Pratt Health System), in support of Maryland AOT laws here:,0,3608071.story#ixzz2pCh7kHtK
