This article describes what AOT could look like in our own community: compassionate care of Tennessee's neediest, sickest citizens. I witnessed this firsthand last night under the I-40 bridge in Knoxville, feeding our homeless neighbors. Out of 200, probably 3/4 had notable mental illness. AOT could help them. Tennesseans, we need an AOT law! Tennessee remains as one of only 4 states in our nation without AOT on the books.
